Pazha Karuppiah and Thiruvilayadar Puranam

Dravidianist racist Pazha Karuppiah has said that the thiruvilayadar puranam is a work of establishing "brahminical supremacy".

Here goes the thiruvilayadal puranam story:

A brahmin couple begets a son. He grows up to be a pervert. He uses all his father's money to pay the prostitutes. Unable to come out of his habit of sleeping with women even after dissolving all his father's wealth and no longer being able to pay the prostitutes, he approaches his own mother with the intention of sleeping with her. He kills his father who resists him approaching his mother. He forces her to dance to his tunes and desires. After her death, he gets inflicted with diseases. He realizes his wrong doings. He looks for remedy for his sins. He accidentally enters Madurai. He prays to the lord. Lord comes down as a hunter and prescribes remedy for his sins. He follows them and gets rid of his sins, especially the sin of killing his father who is a brahmin. This padalam is called maa paadhagam theertha padalam (மாபாதகம் தீர்த்த படலம்).


The things that are bothering him about the story (and what he indirectly implies) in thiruvilayadar puranam are:


  1. A parpaan loves his own mother and makes love of her with lots of resistance from her. (This is the characteristic of brahmins. They are perverts. But mind you. Terrorism has no religion.)
  2. He finds his father as a hindrance to his love making, so he kills his father. (Same as previous)
  3. He gets inflicted with dosham for killing a brahmin. And gets deadly disease. (He did not get disease for making love with his mother but for killing his father who is a brahmin. Such a patriarchy.)
  4. He goes and prays to Madurai Somasundara kadavul (God Shiva). God saves him from his diseases. (Is it fair for God to save someone who made love with his mother?)
  5. Meenakshi, the consort of Shiva, asks why the God saved a mean fellow from his illness he well deserved for which the God replies that he will save whomsoever surrenders to him. (Same as previous)

What he wants us to believe?

  • Thiruvilayadar puranam supports making love of mother.
  • It only recognizes killing of brahmin (brahmahathhi dosham) as a crime and not the sexual perversion.

Thiruvilayadar puranam supports making love of his mother? Does it?

No. It does not. When saying about what is the sin committed by him, it says killing his father and sexual perversion over his mother. BOTH.

This is what thiruvilayaadar puranam says about perversion.

It only recognizes killing of brahmin (brahmahathhi dosham) as a crime and not the sexual perversion. Does it?

No. It does not.

In the 1573rd song, thiruvilayadar puranam starts with lust on his mother. The 1574th song starts with : he got rid the sin of killing a brahmin. This is the only place where thiruvilayadar puranam leaves out the sin of lust.

What could be the reason? Even today, do we weigh murder and non fatal sex crimes equally? No. Even today, murder is maa paadhagam (மா பாதகம்) than sex crimes. So, it's quite normal and nothing to overreact.

How then are the dravidianists managing to convince people with their flawed ideology? No doubt they have mastered the art of articulation. We don't have a choice but to give due credits to them. Their opponents are yet to catch up on that front. That agreed, the fact remains that Pazha Karuppiah saying that thiruvilayadar puranam doesn't recognize sin committed by lust but only recognizes sins for brahmin cause is humbug and racial hate mongering.

If I had written thiruvilayadar puranam and had wanted to establish brahminical supremacy, what would I have done? I would have made a brahmin a hero with full of virtues. Instead, I would have made a so called oppressed pachai tamizh dravida udanpirappu a pervert and I would have made lord Shiva go as an aryan brahmin. But, we know how the story goes, where lord Shiva comes as a hunter giving remedy (dosha nivarthi way) to a brahmin criminal. I don't understand how this padalam is trying to establish a so called "brahminical supremacy".

The main aim of these dravidianist goons is defaming Hinduism and reiterating their dravidian racism through brahmin hatred. NOTHING ELSE.
